Manuscript Submission Guideline
PREPARATION OF THE MANUSCRIPT
TITLE PAGE
The title of the article is limited to not more than 20 words (capitalized for each word). Below the title put the authors’ names based on their contribution to making the article, the first name is the most contribute person. No need to put an academic title. Below the author’s full name, put the author’s affiliation, followed by the corresponding mail and e-mail address below it. The last part of the title page is running text, the short title of the article with less than 10 words contained. The title of the paper should be in 16 pt bold Times New Roman and be centered. The title and other information on the title page should have 0 pts space above and 12 pts below. Start with an abstract and the content of the article on the next page.
MANUSCRIPT HEADING, FONT, AND SPACING
The manuscript should be typed using word processors (Microsoft Word or Open Office) software. The font used throughout the paper is Times New Roman. The paper size is A4 (i.e., 210 x 297 mm), one column format with 3 cm for all margins, double-spaced, and limited up to 5,000 words. Page numbers should be included in the text located in the footer section of each page. The use of pronouns such as I, we, etc are to be avoided. Manuscripts submitted to this journal should follow the heading below: Title; Authors Name; Authors Affiliation; Corresponding address; Running text; Abstract; Keywords; Introduction; Method; Results; Discussion; Conclusions; Recommendation (optional); Acknowledgments (optional); and References. Tables and Figures are included in the Result section. The title page’s requirement is as notified above.
ABSTRACT
The Abstract should be written in both English and Bahasa Indonesia with a word limit of 100 to 200 words. It should be prepared in one paragraph and covers the background of the problem, objectives, method, results, and conclusion. References should not be written in this part of the manuscript.
KEYWORDS
A minimum of 3 keywords and a maximum of 5 keywords is required. Keywords should be separated by coma (,), crucial to the appropriate indexing of the papers, is to be given. For instance: Cattle, import, indigenous, malaria, Plasmodium sp.
ABBREVIATIONS
Any abbreviations used on the title and body paper should follow the standard guideline or which commonly use in the international and or local contexts.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Institutional affiliation or collaborating partner such as a funding source that supports the work is optionally put on this part.
TABLES AND ILLUSTRATION
Prepare any tables and figures to be written on the Result part. Each table must stand alone or be self-explanatory with a clear title and complete information with footnotes if needed. Tables should not contain information that can be explained in one or two sentences. With the submission of the manuscript, please also submit separately if there is any following figure with requirements: minimally 300 dpi and maximally 900 dpi of resolution. Save as TFI, EPS, and PNG files not PowerPoint or pdf.
REFERENCES
References should be prepared using Vancouver styles which can be illustrated as “……. Statement… [1], or [1,2], or [1-3,7]”, not using superscripts, as written “…… statement….1”.
Please use Reference Manager Applications like EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero, etc. Cite only scientific publications that you read and current journal references. Write the six of the author's last name and first name initials, remain authors be followed by "et al (et al)". The reference number must be numbered consecutively. The first letter of reference titles should be written with a capital letter, the rest lowercase, except the name of the person, place, and time. The title should not be underlined and in bold letters. Recommendations for references are: Include ALL authors. et al., for multiple authors, is not acceptable. When referencing in the body of text use superscript after the full stop (.) (i.e:. ). If the reference lists the name of the source, the numbered reference is located after the name (i.g: Abood, Latief, et al ). When preparing your reference list, the following should be avoided:
- References not cited in the text.
- Excessively referencing your own work.
- Insufficiently referencing the work of others.
- It is also preferable when Authors give the DOI number of each reference list, but it is optional for Authors. References list must be written consistently for the journal
- titles are written in a long format
MANUSCRIPT HANDLING FEE
Currently, accepted manuscripts in the Indonesian Journal of Public Health Nutrition (IJPHN) are free of charge. Readers can read and download any full-text articles for free.
ACCEPTANCE CERTIFICATE
Acceptance Certificate is issued for authors whose manuscripts are already reviewed and accepted for publication by an editor.
